Chevy hood

    Iv'e got a 55 first series Chevy that has the center hood strip. After removing the strip what do I use to fill the grove in for a smooth custom look? Thanks....

    Sand it down to bare metal and apply a smooth coat of bondo...

    I would weld some places every few inches all the way back to keep from having extra flex and then a thin layer of fiberglass or kitty hair then bondo to smooth it out.

    I personally would either weld every few inches or braze the same and lead it in, like we did before Bondo.
