Hey guys...It's been a while since I've been here. I've been working hard on getting my cab ready and am now ready for the frame. I was wondering if anyone can give me some insite on how to remove the torsion bars from the A arms. I thought that they should just knock out from inside of the hex-shaped center of the A arms. But as my luck would have it.....No luck at all. I just about beat myself silly trying to get the darn things loose...help, help, help, help, help, help and help. Thanks.

!Duct Tape and a hammer can fix anything!:p

I would also appriciate a good advice regarding this. The shop manual says that you should be able to pull them out towards the rear end of the car, but I've also found out it isn't nearly as simple.

The bars are pressed in so they do come out.Just the way you are doing.I had one break on me and had to knock it out, trust me it won't be easy. Good luck.;)

Call around to Rental stores that carry automotive tools. Ask about a torsion bar press..
