I am restoring a 64 SWB fleetside with a 230 six cylinder,a good strong motor,I want to install different carburation from the rochester i bbl that is on it. What would you experienced guys recommend.Also will put headers on the truck,dont want the loud sound but the mellow sound any recommendations. Thanks
Go to speedwaymotors.com can look in the street rod section and look for a 2 1 barrel intake ot 3 1 barrel intake for your 230. then go to summitracing.com and look for a 6cylinder header (i think it is a heddman header). as for a muffler that wond' be too loud i would probably go with a turbo muffler from summit($15-$20) or your local muffler shop. Maybe a dual inlet and dual outlet 2"in and 2" out. thats my opinion. Cowboy 1961 Chevy 1/2 ton shortbed stepside(soon to be 454 powered)
