    shipping cost

    the shipping cost incl. german tax and shipping in germany $200 in an oversea container. Have a vendor in Houston and he collect till the container is full. Need time but it's cheap

    Concerning the Hurst shifter - sounds good and your price? Found at the internet Mr. Gasket Shifter 7667A and thought to buy it. But Hurst is better, think so.
    The tranny don't have a bracket for the shifter. Will make my own bracket and braket for rear end of tranny. Think i will start with this in winter.

    Shifter

    Volker.

    After i checked your tailpeace. The Hurst shifter i have wont fit your 3 speed arrangement. You will be needing a Hurst shifter for the 3 speed and a conversion bracket with a suitable stick to make it fit in your truck floor arrangement. The Patricks solution gives you that possebillety as it lines it up in the right position. I am shore he will sell you the right shifter to ! If not these are for sale directly from Hurst parts stores everywhere in the world. The conversion kit allows you to mount the shifter just on the edge between the tail and the tranny.

    This one will fit your tailpeace together with :)the Patrick shifter conversion arrangement;

    Man Volker!

    That is some great info on the Shipper! Sound like good stuff.... I know it's probably a little too late, but gave you thought about using a T-5 Tranny?
    They work great!
    How far are you from Berlin?

    @Klaus

    i live 180km or 1 1/4 hour on german autobahn away from Berlin. Remember we can drive very fast........:D
    Your idea with a T5 is good but now i have a SM420 and a SM 319 in my garage. Sometime i must decide wchich tranny i will use. Collect trannies is not what i want:D
    Of Course a T5 is nice but expensive or have you one for cheap for me??

    T5 tranny

    Klaus

    Does the T5 tranny bolt right in on a closed system with a torque tube (1950 1/2 ton truck) ?

    closed driveshaft

    i have throw away my idea to hold the closed driveshaft and have a solution to hold my new 3.55 R/P from Patricks.

    I will cut the original driveshaft in the middle, mount a moveable bracket to hold the original shaft and screw or weld a new U-Joint at the end. The i can use a short cardan between tranny and the driveshaft. Only little bit welding and finish:D
