I bought this truck from the original owner 36 years ago. It was just a work truck but for some reason I kept it all these years, I guess because it never quit running. The build sheet was still behind the seat. It still has the original 283, 4 speed, am manual radio, heater ,and posi-traction listed on the build sheet. This is probably the best vehicle I have ever owned and I've owned several BMW's and others.

    Nice truck
Like myself you knew what you liked a long time ago.
I have had mine since 1977 when I was only 19 years old.

Great job! Esp. the pics with the train and the dash upgrade. I was saddened though seeing the unrestored trucks in the back ground. I do understand sacrifices must be made for the good of the species.:)

    Finished Trucks

    Both awesome trucks!
Nice to see some finished trucks... gives me hope that I'll get mine done too!
Also great to see some "stock" looking trucks.
The lowered ones sitting on the ground don't do much for me.....
guess I'm getting too old :D

    Awesome Job!

Really nice job! I can only hope that my first project with my son turns out half as nice.

Great job on the restore! not many keep vehicles around for 36 yrs, likely the build sheet details helped:cool:

The truck had basically been maintained and never modified and was 100% complete so bringing it back was fairly straightforward. Thanks for all the kind words. Bruce Kile

I used a few parts off the black truck in the background, the others are going to be rebuilt, the baby blue truck I have named Carina Patina and we are going to slam her and leave her rusty.......I think it will be fun. The other one is a 66 LWB factory air, p/s, 283, powerglide, with a BBW....it will be restored stock -----after we do Carina........Kieth

ps brkile your truck looks great................thanks for sharing it with us. Kieth
