My son's young buddy just bought an abortion ~ franken truck ~ he thought it was a nice old '55 3100 with a V-8 but when he got it home , it had ball joints , disc brakes and so on , it turns out the chassis is a 197? GM 1/2 ton and they WELDED THE BED TO THE FRAME so there's a gap between the bed and the cab , etc. , etc..... Why he didn't stop right then I don't understand but now it's all in little pieces and because I own a good running & driving '49 , I'm supposed to know how to make it right ....
My son says it's junk but they guy is fooling with it...... I doubt his buddy has any $ left to $pend on up fixin' .
