I found this on E Bay today in the 61 chevy truck parts section, better jump on it quick......Item for auction is one "NOS" 6 cylinder head. This is a "261" cylinder head, still wrapped in plastic in the original shipping crate. From what research I have found that the head is correct for 261 engines from 1954-1962. This particular head has the casting number "3836850", date code of "30 D 1" (30 April 1961?), and "GM 1" Original part number on the outside of the wooden box is 3836963 which is correct for - 54-62 Chevrolet all models with 261, and 1963 Chevrolet truck 4 wheel drive with 261 (information found in the 1968 Chevrolet parts and accessories catalog). Shipping for the cylinder head will be a flat rate of $60.00 using Fed Ex ground. It will be in the original box wrapped with shrink wrap to keep it secure (and marked HEAVY to keep from hurting someone's back). Payment is expected with-in 10 days of end of auction. Thanks, BB
