    Hey fellow chevy'ists'
I have a 65 with a 283, just put a remanufactured carb and new fuel pump on and gas is flowing from carb overflow like there's no tommorow. Anyone Know if the fuel pump may be pushing too much? The parts store said its the right one.I thought the float in the carb would prevent this. Being a remanufactured carb I "shouldn't" have to adjust it.
    thanks Tim

One would think so.. But Alas, Not always true....

    It sounds like the float.

Yes all our rebuilt carbs call for the floats to be adjusted. Elevation can play a factor in your float setting so the manufacture ( Holley ) recomends it.
