You know Bill, there are probably a bunch of whipper snappers scratching their heads right now wondering what a Dagmar is:confused:

    For you younguns, here's Dagmar!

Pretty sure that GM got the inspiration from her for all those lovely bumper bullets!

Congrats on the second place finish!:D

    Dagmars name meaning !

    Dagmar

Dagmar is a feminine Scandinavian and German given name, derived from the Old Norse name (Dagmær), dag meaning "day", and mær meaning "maid".

Nicknames: Dagie, Dagmarka, Dasha, Dáša, Digi, Mara.

Dagmar is uncommon as a surname or as a male name (as the male version is Dagomar).

It is still a lot in use in Norway,Sweden , Germany , Danmark.:)

By the way, nice pinup girl on the frontpage of your magazine !:)

    There was no real contest.

A number of people walked by my truck and the really nice '56 Caddy parked next to it and made comments about the corporate connection. Both the bumper bullets and the amount of chrome on the front of the two vehicles. The Caddy was the winner, but not by a large margin.

Good for you, Bill! At least you get your truck out there... I'm sure you didn't see that "other" truck there, right?

You got that right Zig. Every time I call Ken to ask if he's going I get some lame excuse about grand kids. Mine are now in their teens, so the aren't as interested in hanging with me except on the ski slopes.

    Bill,
Have you tried asking them if they would like to drive the truck to the show for you?

Just down the road from you. Take 249 south from Tomball, exit at Spring-Cypress and turn left. 3-4 miles east on Spring-Cypress is a Kroger's grocery. Show runs from 6PM to 10 PM every Saturday night through November 12th. Peak attendance is 6:30-8:30 this time of the year. Last Saturday there were probably 250-300 cars, but earlier that day there was a show in Conroe that probably cut in to attendance by another 100 cars or so. I've seen 600+ on a real busy night.
