Having some trouble understanding my engine mounts for installing a SBC into my 1965. I understand the 1965 frame perches. Will the standard 1965 engine mounts attach to the SBC350? The mounts from the SBC that came out of a '79 are the more typical pivot bold style. So my only assumption is I take a set of 1965 generation mounts and attach them direct to the 350 and she will sit right on the perches?
I have not tried to set the engine yet or I would know the answer i suppose:) Just trying to make sure I have the right goodies in hand.
    thanks!

Yes, are you running the stock rad shroud and are you using the long water pump, if so you`ll want to use the rear holes in the crossmember/mounts. If you use the short water pump with the shroud you need to use the three inch fan extension.[IMG]

OK, so my assumptions on the engine mounts are correct. Thanks for the info on the fan shroud/ pump. Had not gotten that far in my planning yet.

I used a set of mounts out of a mid 70[s truck. Carce them in with a torch and fit them with a hammer. Then weld them out and your good to go. Actually it's a little more work than that but not that much if you know what you are doing.... Big Tim:cool: tims pics 095.jpg
