ok stock truck 6 volt, tired of all the cranking to get it started after it sits for a few days.

I am installing a 6 volt electric primer pump, so i can prime the carb before starting.

bought a 6v airtec pump, i was not planing on instaling a fuel filter upstream of pump.. but pump manuf recommends it.. i dont want to install one of those cheep barbed filters, and i dont want to use hose and clamps..

spent all afternoon trying to find a inline fuel filter that excepts the standard 5/16" fuel lines and 3/8" flare fittings for this truck.. no luck.

all threaded filters seemed to be metric, or have a specality connection.

maybe i will install with out a upstream filter.. and risk the pump.

any of you done this mod? did you install upstream filter?

Hose and clamps upstream will be fine, no pressure before the pump.

If you adjust the float level in your Carb. it will probably fix your bleed down problem...
