I am installing a small block v8 in my 49 pu. can anyone tell me what headers fit in this makeup. I'd like to use full flow but might have to go to the block huggers. What do ya think.

I had a real tough time finding headers to fit my 51 with a 350 and mustang 2 front end. the steering shaft is in the way. got a set of headers from speedway. the steering shaft passes through the headers on the drivers side and both dump ou the rear. they fit real well.
Speedway part number 930C5 55-57 chevy headers. I have a set of polished block huggers ( brand new) from my trial and error- may let them go if you are inrested PM me.

You might want to consider the Fenton cast iron headers for the smallbock Chevy motors.
    They are nicknamed "BlackWidows".

I used the block huggers in my '48 w/V8. Found them at a swap meet(great price) blasted them and painted w/POR 15 Heat silver.
Left plenty of room for PS and the muffler shop didn't have any problems.
    Good Luck

Block huggers are the best bet. Speedways "Rams horns" llok pretty promising also. Those Fentos are cool, I don't know how they fit.

I am pretty sure they came from speedway.or summit.
I will go through my files and see if I can find the paperwork.
I can send you some picks
Maybe around 150 I think they were 275 new

I found a set of full flow Hedmans that work quite well. Thanks for your help. I'm sure I'll have many more questions for you all.
