I have a Muncie 4 speed in my '63; the nut retaining the speedo drive has disintegrated and disappeared. Since the thing is somehow molded over the housing a new one would do me no good. Where can I find a new drive? No supplier seems to list them and this is after a lot of browsing. Before I go and buy a lathe and make a new one (..any excuse...)is this a fairly universal item or are these thignas very specific to transmissions? In other words can another more common one be adapted?
