I have a 63 1/2 ton with a 230 six banger with a three on the tree. Somehow, I twisted the mainshaft in two on my tranny. Does anyone know what years the three speeds will interchange? It bolts to the Bell housing with 4 bolts, two from the inside of the bell housing to the tranny, and two from outside the tranny into bell housing, it does not bolt to a crossmember. Thanks.............ML

you didnt say if it was a big box(sycronized low gear) or small box(non sycronized low gear. most all older chevy transmissions bolt up the same, you just have to find one with the same length and the same output shaft splineif its a big box you can replace it with a muncie 4-speed or a borg-warner t-10, the small box is usualy shorter.
