well it's new to her. This is a 97 Mercedes 420 E. 142000 miles, duel overhead cam engine. I haven't had a chance to detail it under the hood yet, but I think I got a good deal on it at 3880.00 out the door, it runs and drives fantastic and most of all "Pooky" likes it....Big Tim  001.jpg

Those seats would look great in your truck.

If Pooky is happy, then so am I! Good looking car! Can you read the owners manual without taking a "Rossetta Stone" course in German?:D

Thanks guys, I think I got a good deal too. Fortunately my dad used to work on Mercedes at the dealership and he's one of the best sources of information I have when it comes to trouble shooting a problem on pretty much everything....Big Tim

When "Pooky" Happy!...Big Tim, very, very Happy! and to all a good night! You keep that girl in style! I'm finishing the interior on my 82' Wagoneer for mine, but you've really raised the bar my man. How can I keep her on the farm when she see's what California women get adorned with. Oh, boy...trouble out in the sticks.

Well I was gonna wait till next week after I close for this one guys, but here it is ahead of time. Soooo I sold my 61 to a guy in New York and bought Pooky and I this 3 level 2000 Sq. Ft. house on a half acre so she would have a better place to park her Mercedes and could start working on my 54 again. Now Pooky's really happy.... More to come next week....Big Tim tims house.jpg

Thanks guys, I wish I had got that much for that truck, I ended up taking 7500.00 for the truck and I got in to a bidding war on the house. It started at 109900.00 and I ended up with it at 125000.00. It will be good to get away from the sub standard roommates. In the last 3 years I have lost a home due to lack of work, cleaned up my credit, started working again, lived in places that would give you nightmares about possibly being like the trashy people you live with and bought another house while saving money the whole time. It hasn't been easy but in the end I will be way better off than I was in the old house. I could have bought 3 houses for what I owed on the last one and this one is twice the size with twice property and was less than half of what I paid for the last one. The last house happened to be the cheapest one in the county at the time I had bought it in 2006. I will be closing and signing the papers this week then I have 2 storage's full of everything that Pooky and I have to move. Any volunteers? lol...Big Tim :D

Good deal, BT! Sounds like the road may be smoothing out for you now. I hope so. Good luck with the moving thing! If I were closer...

Sounds like you've been through the wringer! Looks like hard work and determination still works. Never heard you whine about that either over the years! I'd be out to help with Zig, but his truck isn't running. Between you and me....that wagon won't pull anything but "Chief's Cheerleaders". But we've all nominated "Wolf", good strong young buck! All best wishes from Tennessee! Thanks for the imput over the years. No doubt 'Pooky" has some remodeling in store for you.

Thanks Zig / flashlight, yes there will be a few projects to do but the house has been completely remodeled. It was a foreclosure and somebody had put a lot of money in to this place then lost it....

Bad for them, good for you!

B.T., you know you'll have to update your avatar, right?

Flashlight, I actually have the frame in primer AND have a box of parts from our host sitting in the cab just waiting. If the humididty is too high this weekend to "paint it black", I'll just work on installing those parts. Someday mine will be a shiny version of Wolf's rig. (He'll still have the "good" back, however~ :(
