I have what appears to be a 1/2 ton model (VIN starts with 1000). Do these normally have a "helper" type of leaf spring mounted above the regular spring, complete with clamped-on stops? Was this an addition/modification, perhaps from the larger models? Has anyone had experience with fitting mono leaf springs to these trucks?
Their was an option for that type of helper leaf spring to be used in counjunction with the coil springs. If that is what you got then it is probably factory. Pete
