another GMC heater question

    Here's a pic of the heater. No Ranco valve, and what's the thingy upper left that looks like some sort of blower? I haven't seen one before...

    The Ranco valve is on the firewall , not under the dash are they worth anything ? I'm pretty sure I have a 100 % complete one for an AD including the knob & correct screws etc. , I no longer need it , should I rebuild it and sell it ? .

    That other thing , is a defroster booster blower , not common even Down East where I'm from .

    I'd keep it and run it off a rheostat so you can really adjust the air flow .

    Wouldn't it be more correct to say they are on the firewall under the dash?

    This truck doesn't seem to have one, but that's easy to change...
