Ive purchased an external canister oil filter and upon installation, ive realized im not sure which is the feed and which one is the return? top or bottom of canister? i have a 54' 235 and im also assuming that the plug on my block where ive installed the oil pressure gauge is getting a t fitting to include the feed to the canister

The why mine is set up is the the supply comes in to the top and return out the bottom

Yes, supply=top....return= bottom, The sponsor sells replacement rubber hoses with fittings and swivels, the most common placement is U-Bolts to the intake manifold with a backing plate, then the replacement tubes will fit on the 235.
