    After remanufactured my Saginaw 4 speed i would want to refil with oil but i am thinking spesially of the 4 brass synchronizer rings if they can be damaged over the long term when i use the wrong oil ?
    Any of you guys have experiences here ?

    I have different Kendall Oil and both botles recommend the oil for trucks;

    The Hypoid oil SAE 80 W-90 has another product declaration then the Synthetic SAE 80W- 140 oil ? Nice words, they smelll the same and both the oil cans are marked GL-5, MT-1 .

    Hypoid contains ;
    Sulfor/phosphorus , extreme pressure additives,rust and corrosion inhibitors,anto oxidants and anti foam agents.

    Synthetic;
    No other spesifications then that it Minimize oxidative sludge and varnish,reduce wear.

    Gear Oils

    I always use Synthetic oils as they improve shifting noticeably and reduce wear sharply .

    So far, I've never seen the bronze bushing corrosion I keep hearing about .

    I *think* that was an oil additive they stopped using .

    Here in the warm West , I use 85W-90 .

    Be aware that Synthetic oils WILL seep & creep out of joints & gaskets you thought were *perfect* ! this isn't a bad thing , just remember to check the level every 3 months or 15,000 KM , whichever comes first as yes , they do seep whilst parked .

    I put Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil in my jeeps differentials and it improves the feel and roll. I have synthetic Advance Auto gear oil in my 47 and its fine. Smooth!!
