Spare tire mount mod for bed cover

    Cut and welded the side Spare mount. Made it work with a bed cover since it bolted to the top of the bed. Anyway here is some photos for anyone else looking to do so.

    Slick. If it's good and sturdy that's how the general should have made it.

    The factory over the rail mount looks like an afterthought to me.

    Since we are talking cutom tire mounts I weigh in with mine. I didn't have any of the factory partsso I used structural steel. It's like everything else I make, overkill strong.

    Yes I like how you did yours. I was thinking of doing that later on, But this worked good for a quick fix. Nice work on the your tire mount as well. I like Heavy duty stuff

    Just noticed you're from Wyoming. We are practicaly neighbors ;)

    Yes. I was in Cheyenne. Moved to Calfornia for a few years with the Navy. Ill be moving to Pueblo here in July. Have to hit you up and have a get together with some other colorado truck owners. Maybe go for a cruise.
