Carried my computer to the in town house today, which has the high speed internet, to order several bearings for a 1940 differential. I find that I've got so used to the dial up at the country house that the high speed makes me feel as though I'm chained to the machine. In the country I do all sorts of small chores, calls on my cell phone, reading the car mags, or making up a snack or drink, all while waiting on stuff to get pulled up or down loaded. I think I like slow better.
That's a hoot, Evan! Thanks! (And you don't get all those cool sounds to let you know it's alive!) Bading ding BONG twittertwittertwitter...
Dialup I've not even turned my old dialup 'puter on in four years since the accident . One of these days I guess I should to see if it still works . Stay with us Evan , we need you more than you know .
One thing I did enjoy was I finally got to watch Russ run his truck on the slalom course with the T-Bird IRS in it. Any video is void on dial up.
