Hi Guys, Anybody know if the axels from a 79 gmc half ton pick-up will work in a 60 half ton pick up rear diff? I'm looking to get the 5 lug bolt pattern on the rear, after i change the front over to 79 gmc to get the disc brakes and coil susp. If not, then I could change the complete rear end but i was wanting to keep the 3.73 gear ratio. Thanks Tom
Those axles will not work in that differential. Look for a complete 1/2 ton rear from a 69 to 72. Or, have your axles re-drilled for a 5 lug pattern. DV
