My latest issue is the radiator fan shroud.

    I have NOTHING but a radiator ...

Every measurement I could possibly take:

    Radiator - 34" x 19" x 2.5" depth/tank and 1 7/8" core (I think I got that right)

    Core: 28" x 17" x 2.5"

    Fan: 20"

    5.5" to front of fan

    8" to rear

    4.75" to fan clutch

I have no idea what to use for a fan shroud ... I need an upper and a lower and I am about to go insane.

    Can anyone advise?

Info that may or may not help:

The SBC 400 that we built up and put in there and hasn't even been broken in yet is NOT the stock engine.

Best I can tell the radiator support is there and fine

We have some weird looking bracket that we have no idea what the heck it is.

Can you take some pictures to see what where dealing with? Will a stock shroud not work?

I will try and snap some pics ASAP.

I don't have the stock shroud.

Well ... I might ... I'm not sure ... I have two DIFFERENT shrouds that supposedly came out of C10s but they are both uppers ... so I am still missing the lower ...

I also have no clue what the hell this bracket is for ...

My entire build is as such:

I managed to find a mint condition SBC 400. It has under 35k on it (friend of the family and a whole story behind that one) and it sat for years. I stripped it almost naked just leaving the pistons alone. Didn't want to go too crazy money wise.

    So ...

An older (no longer made?) Summit branded fuel feed line with an inline filter and a gauge on it already - buddy had it still paid something like 120$ for it a few years back - cant find it on summit anymore ... oh well ... its free!

He also had some 1.6 roller rockers along with some pushrods that were still in the box with the reciept for 600 bucks ... those were also $0 so I can't complain.

There is a lot missing in the list but the big stuf is all there. We did every gasket we could access and think of via the R.A.C.E. kit etc. and the new oil pan gasket is this [one piece deal from fel-pro](http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FEL-OS34509T/) lots of various stuff from local shops. Way too much to list ...

I was going to go with an underpulley kit but I was advised against it STRONGLY so ... that is now up for sale/grabs lol.

We spent the last two weeks removing, rebuilding, and now reinstalling everything. We will be starting the beast this week or weekend hopefully and I still need more stuff but that is mostly asthetics. I can't afford the replacement interior door panels just yet, and i could use a new front fender on the driver's side. a bunch more stuff too but all in all the project is coming along ...

I meant to document everything we have been doing photo wise but when you are working it just slips the mind. I only have a couple phone pics from pulling the engine out to rebuild it and on the stand etc and practically nothing else. I'll try to take some "semi-finished-product" shots this week.

I should have probably mentioned that I got the majority of things for free so I can't exactly complain. I have under 1k into this truck and build at the moment.

Off the top of my head I paid 200$ for the sportsman II heads for the set, and 200 bucks for the carb and the holley hammer head awesomeness that I have.

Free stuff: the roller rockers and pushrods, the distributor, coil cap and rotor, MSD 6AL box, spark plugs, MSD Wires that I forgot to post (edited just now) and the valve covers. All the small stuff like belts gaskets spacers even a new power brake setup and master cyl for that calipers rotors and lines etc. tranny lines too. pretty much everything. It is easier to list what I paid for at this point.

My brother has a repo 2 pc fan shroud for his old '78 C20 w/350 sitting around here. Radiator side opening is 16.75" x 28", fan side is ~21.5" diameter, and its 7.5" deep. There are no markings so I'm assuming the 3rd pic is the bottom half? He sold the truck a few years ago and I dont have any pics of the engine bay, but hopefully this helps.

This might be just what I need!

Is there any chance he/you are willing to part with that? I can offer cash, random stuff, ammo if you are into that sort of thing and law doesn't get in the way, or mystery box of surprise!

Well, I'm think he'd be willing to part with it (the truck is long gone). The question would be cost of shipping, as they'd probably charge extra for the size. Like I said this is a reproduction shroud, he got it from either Classic Parts or LMC.

It barely fits into a box I have that's 35" x 19" x 8", from 94533 if you want to look at rates.

I'm going to get some pictures and measurements just to make sure and then I will work on that shipping stuff.

I just got more bad news from my buddy ... he tried to get the driveshaft in ... it is the wrong effing driveshaft ... I don't even know where to begin on that one ...
