    Ken--
actually it is his truck. he was there every step of the way . he did most of the welding and fabrication himself. he is now looking for our next project.
here are acouple of pics of him welding in the floor patch and up under the dash (i didnt quite fit).

That is one good looking truck. You should be proud of our son wanting to help. Maybe he won't go the video game route. Keep teaching about cars and trucks, we need more mechanics and craftsmen rather than video gamers.

How is the seat position with those seats? Too far forward? Not enough recline for comfort?

    Thanks Mark-
the seats are good and the range is limited a bit , but not much. if i had to do it agian i would remove the seat riser lower the seat and use a tilt column
but like i said it works for me (i'm 5'8") and they are very comfortable.

Just curious. Do you still refer to your truck as "old blue"?

    Bill-
thats a good question. originally when stripping the truck we thought the stock color was blue, so we planned on painting the truck a blue. but then we found a section that was red(back of cab between cab and box, also under some of the trim) this section was not preped like the rest of the truck , so we changed to red. now we refer to it just as the 51.
