    Hi
Anyone know of one piece door glass for the 60-63 doors?
The 55-56 door glass looks like it might work with some love, Any info would be great!

I believe the above link is for stock replacement glass, to be used with the vent window in place. I've seen this question asked on a variety of web sites, but have not yet seen anyone provide a link to a company offering a kit, or any individual that has accomplished it on their own 60-63.

No "kit" that I know of. The ones' I've seen were fabricated by someone.

The difficulty on the 60-63 is the shape of the window opening, on the 64-66 it was the door check. It can be done, just not in kit form.

A few years ago in Classic Trucks they did a build called project Old Skool. They installed a one piece glass kit that was supposed to be avalible soon, but it was never to be. I think it was the door mod that killed it. A good glass shop should be able to hook you up, for a price. Make a templet out of heavy duty cardboard or 1/4" plywood and take it to the glass shop. Use you templet to figure out what mod you need to make.

    Need cool windows!!!

I checked out the classic truck write up, very cool but it was for a 64-66
door. Again I think the one piece window kits for the 55-57 chevy trucks might work. The upper door looks the same due to the curved windshield, but i have not found any info on them so far..

    Hey skwerks_service,

Do you have any details for the 63 Chevy Truck single sideglass conversion yet?

    Thanks

I still haven’t seen a kit yet, but I did spot this modification at the Spokane Goodguys event earlier this year. It looks like he eliminated the vent window and just moved the division bar forward:

Hagan offers vent window eliminator kits for many vehicles but you would have to check to see if they have what you need. They're good to deal with so if they don't offer one they would know if anyone does since they're in the same business.

    Caution...... Rant To Follow......

Ventilators, a.k.a. "Vent Windows" are so usefull why would anyone want to get rid of them?

It just seems that converting to one piece windows is a classic excercise in making the functional dysfuntional.

Maybe it's just because I have spent as many years in vehicles with ventilators as I have without ventilators.

'Splain it to me Lucy... I just don't get it.

I can appreciate the style over function aspect, but personally I wouldn’t give up my vent windows voluntarily.

It’s really no different than the custom guys back in the early 60’s that eliminated the inside sunvisors for fashion. I knew a guy that bought a 4 speed 1961 Pontiac brand new and the first thing he did was remove the visors and had a new headliner installed. I would have gone blind in that thing with the windshield going up into the roof, but at the time it was considered a customizing requirement!
