my 66 GMC has been a pleasure to drive for some time now.recently killing battery. when i turn off ignition switch i still have power to right side of fuse block leaving acc. connections still hot. radio on electric fan on etc. stays hot even after unplugging ignition switch. my internaly regulated alt. checked out good, starter checked out good.i am running accel HEI ignition system, confused as to why all of a sudden this happened. any suggestions would be great.starting to pull out what little hair i have left.

    Current Draw

Are there any relays in this truck ? .

If not , try disconnecting the alternator , leaving everything else (Ig. Sw. etc.) connected and see if there's still a draw as maybe you have an ' open ' diode in it .

after digging deeper i found that there must have been a wire crossing over to the acc. side of fuse box.i will be upgrading right now for sure.
