I've learned something again today! Rear shocks on a 1 ton were not standard equipment. After looking thru info that i've got, it's my opinion that rear shocks were an RPO. If it looks as though your truck never had them, chances are that it did not. There are vendors that make bolt on adaptor kits to install tube shocks on 1 ton trucks. Now for the disclaimer! I don't know sh*t about 1 tons so I may be speaking out of turn here. Charles, help me out here. You are the man when it comes to rolling bowling alleys! Do yours have rear shocks? Medium Duty Shocks As a Lad , I drove a 1962 C-50 with a V-6 , when unloaded it bounced all over the place , I told my boss it needed shocks and he snorted " it ain't got none ! " . That was a nice old truck in Forester Green even though the prior Drivers had folded all the fender corners in a bit .
