My 1949 3100 was previously hacked of its emergency brake pedal and linkage. I'm looking at the possibility of installing a floor mounted parking brake. Any suggestions? It is equipped with column shifter.

    Thank you,

Lokar is one of the more popular aftermarket ones. We used Pinto floor mount E-brake units till they became scarce. Now just go to the salvage yard and many have the floor mount brake; usually in the consul. The handle can be mounted parallel to the front of the seat for leg room for a third person if that's a factor and if bucket seats we have mounted the handle between the seat and the door. Here's a Lokar we installed in a 34 cabriolet, it makes a nice looking unit.
