Need some advice on installing new window felt.

I assume the chrome side goes into the channel first but cannot see how to get the felt completely in the channel? I have attached a pic.

Do you have a shop manual? If not I would suggest you get one. It will show in detail how to install window weatherstrip.

Looks like the anti rattle strips. Factory stapled them to the inside window molding.....Good luck at that. I just use weatherstrip adhesive and glue them on, then clamp them in many places till dry.

If it is the U channel stuff, Start at the vent window frame and run back and down into the door. It helps to have the glass out. Just push down into the channel and glue to the door frame.

I can't make out which it is from the picture.

I do have shop manual, actually two versions and the only thing I see is a picture of where it goes not how to get it in.

I have seen some reference to the channel being crimped? Maybe I need to open it a bit.

It is the u channel stuff. The original only the rubber was left in the channel.
