    Something we don't hear enough about anymore. Just sent a 55 Stude coupe home but first snapped a shot of some real ingenuity. They stanped out a rear door for a 4dr, shortened it at the front and grafted in a door pillar. Note the drip rail curves all the way down to the wide vertical stainless 1/4 trim; this fills (what would be) the rear door seam. The part under the stainless trim still has the door opening seam. Saved having to make up all new 1/4 panel dies---clever devils.

    I like the solution very much.The door curves reminds me a bit of the late corvette . It makes the car looking moore sporty and streamlined. It looks like that the finisch is done very well .

    Remember : Studie was always short of $$ so they were pretty clever about things like this .

    That's the first one of those I've seen since the 1960's Evan .
