    Question,
    Are the park light supposed to stay on when you turn headlights
    on.

    Not from the factory, no.

    But, there is hope..

    That link is for GMCs, but the fix is the same for Chevys. Just splice the park light wire into the tail light wire at the headlight switch.

    This is a very good question that DV answered. I just replaced my front parking light wires, light switch, and rear taillight wires. I was hoping that the front parking lights remained on with the head lights on. I'm glad you asked the question and DV answered it. I thought I did something wrong or needed to replace something else. THX, to you and DV.

    My first truck was a '66, C-10 in '81 when I was 16. My neighbor had a '66 also and he showed me how to install a jumper wire at the headlight switch to turn on the park lamps when the head lights were turned on. We thought it was cool and unique to these trucks. I think it looks better also.
