I am looking for nice replacement seats to go into my 66 big window truck,I prefer bucket console setups that dont extend into the back window area but would take any ideas into consideration, please send pictures (jgladdenii@aol.com) and what they came out of,or just post em here.
BamaJohn66: In '81 I installed a late 70's Cadillac 60/40 bench bottom/bucket back black leather electric seat in my '66, C-10. I ran a heavy gauge wire directly to the battery with an inline fuse for the controls. The ride height was correct and the pedal clearance very close to the factory distance. I don't remember the exact date, however I picked it up at a salvage yard for $50.00. I liked it because it had a fold down center section that served as an armrest, drink holder and extra storage, which is a premium in these trucks. It was also good because I installed two 5-1/4" round speakers in the metal panel above the fuel tank below the window. All in all, it was a good solution to my seat needs. Best of lucks with your seat. LILRD66 BCKBLK
Thanks for the reply,Last week I found a 60/40 seat out of a 95 Chevy P/u and then took the headrests out of the rear seat and re-mounted them into the 60/40,This has kept the headrests out of the back window which has made me feel better and they look even better than the originals.
