    Hello,

I have a 1966 c10 shortbed step side. Originally it was an inline 4 with 3 on the tree. I did a frame off resto on her. I converted the motor to a shortblock 4 bolt main 350 with a tremeck 5 speed trans. When mounting the cab on the truck, the valve covers were very close to the firewall of the cab. With the crank of the motor it is sure to hit the firewall. Is there a conversion kit I can buy to move the motor foward a few inches or do I have to fab something up? Mabye a new model motor mount bracket? I'm kind of lost. Any help would be very much appreciated.

You'll need a set of the factory lower v8 mounts, wrecking yard or some one's donor truck, '63 to '66 use the rear holes in the crossmember, all will bolt up fine, you will need to buy a trans crossmember from any '73 on up gm truck or burb to replace the one you have and relocate your park brake levers.

Ok, I wasn't aware that Chevy made a production model in 63 to 66 with a v8. The tremeck came with a transmission cross member, I left the stock one in from lower support on the chassis because I didnt box the frame. and I ordered a Baer Brake system. so no need for the brake.

    thank you
