So, I leave the house at 4:40 for a quick trip to Lowes and to check the progress on the Ford at the body shop. Wife calls 5 min into the trip and says it is snowing like crazy at the house....nothing where I was. It caught up with me at the body shop in about 2 min. In 20 min, I was having trouble getting home, cars were in the median, off the road. Get home 1 hour after I left to this....

We got around 2 inches tonight, in the span of 2 hours.....It was 38 all day with a little sprinkle of rain. Yall keep this crap up north!!!!!

Hey, That looks pretty 'cool'. Too much so for me. Glad you weren't one of the 'median parkers'.

That snow went through here Friday night (early). I was amazed at how fast it accumulated in such a short amount of time. It only made it to about an inch before it was outta here, but~ That allowed me to turn my neighbor's car and truck windows into the windows like they have in the movie "Cars". They were looking lovingly at each other when I finished. ;)

Better them than me, I hate the stuff. Best viewed via photo or at 30K feet while flying over.

    There I was....

Basking in the 80 degree sunlight of Ft myers Florida, on Thursday after two weeks of gorgeous weather. I'm admiring my tan and my healthy glow. Started back for Tennessee and hit white-out driving conditions around Spartenburg/Greenville, not far from Ol' Chebby in Charlotte.:D

My two wheel drive pick-up is not a real good Plow-truck. Got through it and then hit some more coming down the mountains from Asheville. This was sticking and getting up to two inches.

No matter where you are, mountains roads are scary with any accumulation, did pull over and waited for some 4x4's to make a good track and got home safe.

Shoulda gone back to the beach....still fridgid up here in tennessee:p

Only two things snow is good for. Packers football games and skiing with the grandkids (I'll be doing that in 18 days).

We got 2 inches in 2 hours....I know that isn't much for you Yankees and midwesterners, but that don't happen around here. When it hit, it just hit...BOOM full on snowstorm. Lots of people were out and about not expecting a snowstorm, cars were all over the place.

    Winter weather

I whas digging a lot of snow yesterday , we have around 30 inches here on the farm wich is normal. Conditions are very simmulair as what they have in Alberta Canada. Cars dont stop as most cars have spikes and roads get cleaned every day . People in general really dont mind about the winter weather we have here in Norway. Kids like it very much as they play in the snow outside, but kids are different like that today then in the old days ( before computer age):) Fore me there are some reasons not to like the cold and the snow as it makes a lot a difference in practicall farming. I really would like spring to come and it does in april

Being a "snowbird" as you people call it sound nice to me. My famely left the cold parts of Oregon and went to AR fore the winter. Well here comes a typical weather joke :D
    OR joke

A curious fellow died one day and found himself in limbo waiting in a long, long line for judgment. As he stood there, he noticed that some souls were allowed to march right through the gates of heaven. Others were led over to Satan, who threw them into a lake of fire. Every so often, instead of hurling a poor soul into the fire, Satan would toss him or her to one side.

After watching Satan do this several times, the fellow's curiosity got the better of him. He strolled over and tapped Old Nick on the shoulder.

"Excuse me, there, Your Darkness," he said. "I'm waiting in line for judgment, and I couldn't help wondering why you are tossing some people aside instead of flinging them into the fires of hell with the others?"

"Ah," Satan said with a grin. "Those are Seattle-ites. I'm letting them dry out so they'll burn."

Yesterday, the weather here started off great. Sunshine, not a cloud in the sky, and the temperature was hovering close to 60. By late afternoon, the temperature had dropped to 30, and it started snowing the biggest flakes I've ever seen. They looked like discs instead of flakes. Now we're supposed to be in the path of some big storm blowing in from the Pacific later this week.

it's been an especially long - and at times - brutally cold winter here in saskatchewan. the up side is if you have a heated shop, it's perfect for doing work on your truck since it's too cold to do summertime stuff. finally warming up and time to bring out the beast.

Cool, jnycnuk! Build a family of snowmen in that back of that and park it by the main road by your place!
Here in SE Kansas, they already canceled school for tomorrow. Darn~ We didn't have one snow day last year, and now we've had three in 6 days.
What to do, what to do...
