Welcome and good luck. Have you tried Craig's List?

Welcome to the message boards! I bought one of my trucks from Craigslist, and the other one came from another forum. Try Craigslist, eBay, and all of the message boards that you can find that have a "for sale" forum (here, the stovebolt, HAMB, etc.) and I'm sure you'll find something. If all of that falls through, I've found several trucks just by traveling the back roads and stopping to talk to owners who have one or more of them sitting in their yard or field.

Good luck! Let us know what you find.

    Look west in Texas

I found my complete 54 3100 in a cotton field in Lynn County in 2000.

Rust wasn't too bad, the truck was complete and had a stock radio (hard to find).

The truck was listed in that region's "Thrifty Nickel" add flier.

There are running old trucks in the Panhandle and Trans Pecos regions of Texas where it doesn't rain much.

    Good luck and happy hunting.

Welcome to the site, Luckey. Hope you find what you're lookin' for. I'm not sure the condition, but I've seen a GMC (and I don't know if 3 or 5 window). If you head West out of Corpus Christi, past Orange Grove on Hy 624, a few more miles on the right side is a GMC that looks like it might be in OK condition. If it's been out there a long time it hasn't had any RAIN on it, i'm sure.... Don't know where you are, but if in the area it might be worth a look. Bill

Thanks for all the comments folks, i appreciate it!!!
As far as what i'm looking for, im sure i'll find one, most of the time a "deal" will just fall in your lap. Hopefully that wont be to far ahead. I actually want a 53 or 54 chevy two door sedan, my wife is the one who wants the truck and i'm trying to keep her involved and happy!!!

    Thanks again,
    Luckey

It took me seven months to find my first truck. The next one came within a month after that. Bide your time, and let the truck that you want find you. I think you're better off doing that than buying something you don't really want (just because it's there), then going through the effort to make it yours.
