Can anyone help me with a view of their carb on a 216. mine is a49 and I'm looking for the spring attached to the throttle rod etc. Factory manual isn't clear to me. Just a side view would help a lot. Thanks:confused:

We'll need to know what brand carby it is as there's normally a Carter W1 or a Rochester 'B' series , both are different .

Most of the time when you buy the rebuild kit , it comes with a very good exploded diagram to help you get all the parts back where they belong .

Or , try " The Old Car manual Project " dot com , they have original parts books with pix .

If you mean the throttle return spring it runs from a tab spot welded on the throttle rod itself with the top of the spring hooked there and the bottom to a tab on a pan bolt. This is a 235 and the bottom of the spring is just(wrongly) hooked to the pan rail but it gives the idea.
