What type of material can be used to seal the fill plug in a torque tube rear end?

Will an "O" ring work or is a brass flat washer needed?

    Please advise.

Is it leaking at the threads? Have you tried teflon tape?

I assume you're talking about the fill plug for the banjo ? . it takes a fiber gasket , hard to find these days .

I'd think a thin O-Ring would work , you might have to experiment with the cross section size a bit to find one that doesn't moosh out when tight .

    Banjo

I need to read this site more often so I understand all the reference lingo.

I put an "O" ring in the bung on my banjo!

This works, but I do believe teflon thread tape is a good method as well.

No leaks, I will watch it closely.

thanks To each of you for responding.
