I have a 350, in a 64 C10, that I believe to be manufactured some time in the seventies or eighties. what is the correct timing and exactly where on the engine can I find out how old it is?

    Mike,

On most stock 350's the timing should be fine at 6-8 degree's before top dead center. If the cam is not stock you should contact the cam's manufacturer for the best timing suitable for your cam.

as for knowing the year of the block look behing the head on the left side ( driver's side ) on the flange where your bell housing bolts up and there will be a long number casted into the block , you get that number i'll be more than happy to run it for you
