I have a 65 fleetside longbed. I am trying to figure out what the doors on the side are about. Does anyone know? Shes a beutiful truck that has a 250 inline. The previous owners did ALOT of modifying to keep her going on the farm so the wiring is a mess. and the huud is pretty badly rusted on the front lighting panel. I am also looking to find a site that sells hoods for her too. Hopefully you guys can help me out with this.

New Hoods are only available in fiberglass. Replacement steel hoods are strictly e-Bay, wrecking yard, craig's List ,, etc etc...

the doors are on both sides, with little locks but there is no box in the bed. I was wondering if it was originally a camper type truck and they were for water and fuel for the camper. I wasnt sure. So I have a truck with an extra door that leads to the bed on both sides. LOL. Ill prolly just weld them and have them painted over in time. Not sure yet. Id like to preserve it though. its an interesting addition to my 3/4 ton truck.

I found a place online that does the hoods for me but they run almost 500 for a hood with a cowl and I dont want a sport cowl on it and I cant find straight hoods anywhere else. Any ideas?

I finally got some of the diamond plate off today. it only took me about an hour with the grinder to get it off. LOL its only about a 2 foot area. Im going to go to the hobby shop on base and see about a torch but im afraid to burn the wood thats under it. Ill prolly just cut it out bit by bit. I think the wood is still in fairly Decent condition. since its been covered up for so long.

Is anyone interested in buying a dam good ford workhorse? SNICKER SNICKER:+
