I am converting a 1965 chevy C10 to front disc brakes. I bought a kit from truck and car shop.com I used stock ball joints. when I bolted down the front spindles the nuts went past the cotter pins and are not real tight. Do I need to change ball joints from stock to 67 and newer? Can i make the space with a # 8 washer? Ideas. Also any tricks when it comes to bolting up the new booster and master?

You`ll need to use `73 to `87 ball joints....

I ended up using a 1973 front end. But we could not find motor mounts the bolt holes on the frame didnt line with any motor mounts we looked at. So we used two motor mounts from a 1996 2wd chevy s-10 that had a I-4 in it and they worked perfect. P.S i'm using a L84 Vette motor for the truck and a turbo 400 with a 1500 stall converter.
