To - Day after work I drove my '69 C/10 to my favorite Pick-A-Part Junkyard where the guy I know let me pick through the old trucks behind the fence , I'm looking for an I6 292 engine and a decent cab .

I found a '72 C/30 with a decent 292 and a '69 with what appears to be a good cab (I pulled up the carpets and didn't see any rust holes & solid rockers) , sadly those rigs are in impound until August so I guess I'm still
" On The Hunt " for a good cab (non AC preferred) and maybe I'll dip into my spare engine ~ it's stuck and so will need more than a basic freshening up before I can install it .

I drove on " E " for more than a day and finally filled it up to - night , it took 19.999 Gallons ~ I'd thought it had an 18 Gallon fuel tank , apparently it's a 20 .

This time the gauge's needle went past the " F " mark .
