    Got to spend a week in Colorado and see what's happened with the kids 1949 GMC in the last year or so.

    Pretty much all disassembled. I'll add a couple before and current pics.

    I'm surprised how little rust. Apparently grease and grime provides a lot of protection. Two rear cab corners need repair. Floorboards are OK. Even the battery tray only needs cleanup and paint. The seat frame only needs 3M pad scuffing and paint. The interior, probably sanding, priming (repeat as needed), and paint. The gas tank will need little or nothing. Bottom of cab is cleaned and painted and. Frame is being readied for paint.

    And since the 228 had a cylinder hosed by a broken ring fluttering, he's just (yesterday) found a replacement. First picture is bad cylinder on the 228, and next is what's gonna replace it...

    Probably shouldn't be doing this after midnight, and it doesn't matter much, but the previous 228 cylinder pic was the wrong one
