Ok guys I just got me a 2000 x-cab z71 Chevy 1/2 ton and it has stock 16in rims on it. I have a set of 15in custom rims and would like to know if they will fit and if so will it do any damage to my drive train or any thing else. The stock rims are 6 lug and so are the old one, got em off a 4x4 chevy truck. I know that it will change my speed -gauge but will it change any thing else?

    Thanks

More than likely they will not fit due to brake caliper clearance. It will especially not fit if they are made of aluminum.

I can't really help with your question, but If you replace your stock wheels, Let me know as I may need to get new wheels for my old truck, and 16s will fit just fine. I've jumped over from the '47-54 forum to check out other discussions.
