On my instrument cluster, the red light lenses have broken apart from age. The lights still work but the red cover that shows up when there is a problem is just broken up and cracked away. Anyone have any suggestions, can you buy the red lenses covers somewhere or has anyone had this come up, what did you do? Mine looks really bad. Gary Miami Texas
RE: 1964 Chev C-10 instrument panel Sometimes on e-bay you can find used chevy parts on their might be able to find the whole instrument panel cluster.
RE: 1964 Chev C-10 instrument panel Thank you, I did purchase the panel from Chevy Duty, but it has no red lenses in it for the warning lights.
RE: 1964 Chev C-10 instrument panel Attention Jesse from Chevy Duty, where can I get the red lenses for the instrument panel? I already purchased the panel from your company, help!!!!
RE: 1964 Chev C-10 instrument panel Unfortunatly no one is currently making a reproduction of this lens, the best places to look is either at a salvage yard or on e-bay, however... if your creative and you have some color plastic sheets laying around (like you can get at hobby lobby) you can probly make the red lens again with the plastic sheets, glue or rubber band. Not sure this will work but it's an idea and may be it'll work out for you. Jesse Hazell Chevy Duty tech.
RE: 1964 Chev C-10 instrument panel nobby of texas: Red plastic sheet will do the job. There is a cardboard tube that funnels light through the front of the lense. The end of this tube has a red plastic cover that allows light through it. Over time the red plastic cap becomes brittle and cracks. You can purchase the red plactic sheet from a hobby store or at an auto parts store. They sell the red plastic sheet to repair tail lights. It works well for the repair. Good luck with your project. RE: 1964 Chev C-10 instrument panel ON my 66 I bought a glass staining kit in the Hobby dept at Wally world and made lenses for them and the signal indicators. Been about 5 years ago. Still looks like new. I have a couple of extra clusters for a 66 Sparkplugc
