Hi ,my 62 chevy has a 283 with a edelbrock 600,the problem im having is after i run the truck for awhile and stop it its hard to get started again.I was wondering if the timing was off or the stock mechanical fuel pump is not giving enough psi to the carb. Its a new pump, but that doent mean anything.Any thoughts would be appreciated.I had sombody say I needed a 1" spacer for the carb because it was boiling the gas out. Thanks Jeremy

is it really slow to start again? if so the culprit is most likely timing....

Try the timing first. Then readjust your carb. I usually turn the screw on the left all the way in and then slowly back it out until your rpm's max out then I repaet the steps for the right side. I think you are supposed to use a vaccum guage for this. If the vehicle won't stay running I usually add a little throttle.

No, it turns over normal, just when it heats up it takes a second to get gas to the carb?Jeremy
