Today I'm taking lots of my 66 Fleetside SWB body parts to the body shop so they can work on them while I continue to work on cab rust removal.

Has anyone used the Mark-K Link Tailgate Assembly and do you recommend it? What modifications have to be made to the tailgate?

I'm thinking I can have all the OEM chain latch stuff removed and filled-in now and that would make installation of the Mar-K stuff easier when I get the straight and primed body parts back. Any advice would be appreciated.

I used a couple cables I bought from O'Reilly's. If I had it to do over I would have used the Mar-K link assembly.

A smart guy learns from his own mistakes... A wise man learns from the mistakes of others.

I'd suggest being wise in this case.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot.....I've looked through your build pictures and related comments a few times. You've done a great job and your advice is very valuable.
