    Happy New Year to All!!

I have a minor problem that needs your combined expert assistance. I'm running an electric cooling fan on my 350 engine. I have the cooling fan switch in the intake manifold port & the water temp probe in the head. The fan switches fine (on @ 210/off @ 185) but the temp probe/gauge (AutoMeter) always reads high (around 230). Probably true reading of cylinder head temp but not of overall eng temp. I checked the temp probe/gauge in boiling water, dead on @ 212

Is there any way to put both probes in the manifold? Is there on switch/probe that can do both jobs?

My Edelbrock manifold appears to have a formed boss on the right side for another probe. Has any one ever drilled & tapped one in w/o removing from the engine?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

If you are using the boss in the manifold then you can get a water neck that you can put your temprature sender in it.

Wow what simple idea. Don't know why I didn't see this solution. I guess a few key brain cells were still numb.

I just looked on Ebay & saw a few stock & a few after market solutions. Thanks again.
