I've got a 65c10 and have been restoring it for about 6 months when I found a 69 c10 with a rebuilt 454 and rebuilt tranny. He started rebuilding from the ground up. It has new disk brakes and the whole front end is new including lowered spindles. My question is I want to put my 65 body on the 69 frame and visa versa. Is this possible without doing alot of customizing. I guess I could just pull the 454 and tranny and put it in my 65, but I want the new frame......Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

i'm pretty sure that if they are the same wheel base that it will work. At the very least all the drivetrain can be swapped from that frame to yours.

Thanks for the response. I was told that it should not be a problem..I just wanted to make sure because I am about to sell my 65 frame with my 69 body and dont want to put myself into a bind. If anyone else has some defenite input, I would greatly appreciate it..

The 69 frame is wider after the front crossmember and will require a bit of work to make the radiator core support from the 65 fit.
This becomes important in order to get proper fitment of the fenders, hood, etc, the core support has to be located on the 69 frame EXACTLY as it was on the 65. So it will require that you take every measurement possible on the 65 and document it. Then reproduce those measurements on the 69 frame. The cab mounts will also require that careful measurements be done, as they too are different.

I'd recommend that you swap the 69 components, front suspension including the crossmember, and any rear suspension stuff off the 69 and install them on the 65. Those are bolt-on tasks that can be done by most compentent shade tree mechanics.
