Hi Guys - I been reading the forum for awhile, and have learned a lot. Thanks. Last weekend I removed the rear coil springs from the '62 C10 Fleetside I am rebuilding. Bed is off - so good access to everything. I had soaked the top & bottom bolts to the coil springs for several days with PB Blaster. I was able to turn bolts okay with big breakerbar, but then they snapped off (all 4)/! Bottom's are no big deal, but top bolts were secured by nut(welded?) inside frame rail. Is my only choice to drill out the bolt left in top nut? Or has someone on the forum found a better/easier way to remove these type of bolts? Thanks in advance, Jim R
You can try to spray PB on the exposed threads and screw the bolt back in with vice grips. It it will move in then just work it back and forth until you get remove it all the way.
