Can anyone provide some suggestions on the best procedure to follow in replacing the rear window on a 1950 half ton? I have the glass and the rubber seal. Seal in frame first, then glass? Seal on glass then install? Suggestions and tricks for proper install would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Welcome Aboard, enjoy the ride while here. Got any photos showing your ride and the way you are trying to install the glass. BTW you can go to Russ' How to build at the top of the list and see how he installed it. Others will chime in soon also on how they installed it. good luck.
Welcome, Soi! Yes, generally we don't give advice unless you share a picture of your baby. Then we will smother you with it. I've done what you are doing, but so long ago all I remember is I couldn't use my right arm for a while. (I know!) Anyway, I did get my rubber from our host, as well as the neat little tool that is used for installing the spline. THAT was the worst part of it! I think I just followed the directions in my manual. (or what came with the weather stripping) If you like adult beverages, you <will> have one once you are done!

Soi Run all the kids, the wife and in my case the grandkids out of the shop turn on your favorite music and have plenty of your favorite beverage available. Mine was doable but Zig is right you'll find some muscles you forgot you had. Good luck Papy
